Cancellation Policy.
We would draw to your attention that, once we have accepted your booking, a contract exists between us.  Except as detailed below, any deposit paid is non-refundable.  In case you might need to cancel, we strongly advise you to ensure that your visit is covered by adequate insurance.
If you do have to cancel

a) In every case, provided we are able to re-let the room for the full duration of your original booking we will gladly refund your deposit.
b) If we are unable to re-let the room and you have given us less than 14 days notice of cancellation, your deposit will not be refunded.
c) If we are unable to re-let the room and you have given us 14 days notice of cancellation, your deposit will be refunded, with No further charge.
d) If you fail to arrive, without giving notice, 100% of the room rate for the booked period (less the value of your deposit) will be due. In the event of a stay being cut short for any reason, the full balance of the confirmed booking will be due.

Payment
We accept payment in full at any time before your departure by cash/ internet banking or cheque accompanied by a valid cheque guarantee card.  We regret we are unable to accept payment by credit/debit cards.

Smoking
Gable Cottage has a strictly no smoking policy. Except in the garden. Guests who ignore this policy will be charged the cost of an additional nights’ stay to allow the room to air.  Also the cost of professional cleaning if this is necessary. Anyone found smoking in the cottage will be asked to leave and the total of the full booking will be due.

Damage
Accidents happen. Please let us know as soon as possible so we can attend to any spillages or damages.  We do not normally charge for minor breakages, but we may send you an invoice for repair or making good if the damage or breakage is significant, and we may make an additional charge if you did not report this.

Liability, Security and Personal belongings
Whilst we do all we can to ensure that guests’ belongings are safe and secure, we cannot accept any responsibility for loss or damage to guests’ property in the cottage,driveway or grounds.  We do not accept any liability for any damage, loss or injury to any guest or any vehicles or possessions, unless proven to be caused by a negligent act by ourselves or our employees or contractors whilst acting in the course of employment.

Non – availability
In the unlikely event that our room becomes unavailable through events arising beyond our control we may be forced to cancel your booking. In such instances we will inform you as soon as possible, and do our best to offer you alternative accommodation. However if this is not possible, or unacceptable to you, then we will refund all monies paid by you. Our liability will not extend beyond this refund.

Privacy Policy
Any data collected during the course of this booking will be stored. We will not share your details with any third party.

We like to treat all guests equally without discrimination of any kind ie, race,gender,diabilility etc…. etc…
